The project

The client — a property developer/landlord — wanted a fresh way to help market a handful of commercial buildings directly to tenants; a departure from their old agent-based model.
What started as a simple visual identity project developed into a much deeper piece of work around purpose and values, as well as re-assessing their plans for their wider property portfolio.
'A new, easy way to lease exceptionally designed, modern, ready-to-move-in-to office spaces directly from the landlord, with excellent ongoing support' clearly needed saying in a more succinct way. At the heart of the problem was not just how to communicate the Studio Space brand, but what form the new platform should take to be most effective.

Our approach

Initial discussions with the client led to a number of workshops to clarify what the new brand was for, who it was for, and how the platform should work. The three key pillars of 'Better Space, Better Experience, & Better Support' are expressed elegantly as 'Better Work starts with Better Space'.
The visual identity and tone of voice, supporting copywriting, and other brand collateral are all underpinned by this clear and simple approach.
Discussions around the purpose and functionality of a suitable platform led to the development of the website which, although simple in design, allows the client to update complex data as building availability changes. The platform also had to be accommodating to the buildings profiled, each with its own distinct identity. The result is the unification of individual property brands under the simple, but strong, Studio Space brand.
